I don't know what these are, but they are DELICIOUS!
Happy birthday to me!!!!
Street venders are everywhere
Apartments ~ I have not seen a house.
Squatty potty
Seoul Tower
- There are people everywhere!
- Everybody has black hair! (I'm not being smart ~ it's just weird seeing ALL black hair!)
- This is the 10th foreign country I've been in, and the first time I look like a minority!
- The Korean's seem content.
- There are seas of people. Everybody bumps into each other, and nobody minds.
- Most of the women wear high heels.
- Most people dress in black / dark colors.
- It's clean.
- The children are not whiny.
- I have not seen a Wal-Mart
- A lot of the women / girls walk arm in arm.
- Green means go, red means stop ~ sort of.
- People ignore Tim, but they look twice at me, especially children.
- You really have to search for a garbage can on the street.
- Kids giggle and love the yell, "HEY!" when they see me!
- If I yell, "HEY!" back, they are thrilled and brag to their friends!

Happy Birthday, Chelle!
What a joy to wake up and see Seoul through your eyes this morning. Modern technology is marvelous! The next best thing to being there with you. On this your birthday, I pray for both you and Tim that "you will enter into His chambers with Him and know with certainty that He will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that He, the Lord, which calls you by your name, and the God of Israel will be very real in Seoul." Isa. 45:3. Love you, Darien
Happy birthday! Bet you'll never forget this one!! :)
What a wonderful significant event to remember your birthday!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I know you are just "in your element" as it were as you have dreamed of this trip for so long. I look forward every morning to seeing your blog....
It is snowing here today..."The heavens are worshiping because it is your birthday and you've gone to get Kate!"
Happy birthday Belle!
I am enjoying your blog and all of the pictures. I can't wait to get a hold of Kate's chunky cheeks! Mark says to tell Tim hey and we wish we were with you so that we could enjoy all of the kimchi, sights, and great jokes that we know we are missing. Anyway, we love you and can't wait to meet Kate! Oh,Yuna says thanks for posting the pictures of her beautiful country. It was nice to see home again for her. She also agrees with you about the flour cakes, they are very tasty.

Happy Birthday Chelle!
Oh Yes1 I remember all the little kids wanting to speak English to me and were thrilled to try conversing (at which they were very good!). Also....I love that the women have such dear friendships to walk arm and arm. It would be great to do that with you someday.....might have to wait for heaven though! I am so glad that you and Tim are having a great time.

Happy Birthday! Great post and awesome photos! We have a Korean exchange student this year and she told us that Korea did have Wal-Mart but they went out of business because they weren't the cheapest. They could find things much better priced elsewhere. That certainly isn't the case in the U.S.!
